AC Shadows Introduces Surprising Attack on Titan Collaboration for Thanksgiving
In a unexpected partnership that breaks usual predictions, Ubisoft has unveiled an digital collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary bonus story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Mission Uncovered
According to the authorized announcement, "A mysterious meeting draws protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original adventure, where rumors of prohibited rituals and terrifying changes resonate through the shadows." The narrative introduces a "unusually garbed woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with journeying into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her ally from a hidden sect.
The mission focuses on "bizarre tests and a fearsome adversary" and is accessible to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Familiar Locations and Changes
The trailer features the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This important location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The trailer ends with a dramatic sequence showing a character, presumably the hostage, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Prizes and Extra Content
Players who finish the adventure will acquire an exclusive katana alongside numerous items hidden throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also includes in-store Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

This patch also adds the game's third complimentary story addition, titled "The Mystery." Faithful to its name, "The Mystery" also contains a fresh environmental puzzle that may eventually shed light on some unresolved questions from the main storyline.
